Amy Michele Strong

January 9, 1973 — January 6, 2025

Cartersville

Amy Michele Strong went home unexpectedly to be with the Lord on January 6, 2025. Beloved daughter of James and Janice, most cherished sister to Jennifer (Randy) Kitts, and adored Aunt to Ashlea Ball, James (Morgan) Stroope, Daniel, and Madison Kitts. Great Aunt (and I mean GREAT) to Tommy and Dylan Ball, Landon and Carter Stroope.

A dearly loved partner, Amy shared a deep and devoted love with Scott Hughes.

Amy lived her life with an exuberance that matched her love for music and a great laugh. Her spirit of adventure took her skydiving and made her an enthusiastic nature and animal lover. She was eager to try any recipe—especially her newest Key lime pie—and had recently found great joy in gardening. Her interests were as diverse as her vibrant mind, from being an avid reader to a fashion and fine art connoisseur.

Above all, Amy loved her family and friends with an unyielding devotion and a fierce passion. Her vivacious laugh, love of a great story, and the warmth she brought to every room will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

As the apostle Paul wrote, “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:8).

A private immediate family service was held due to inclement weather. In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to honor Amy’s memory is invited to make a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
