Anna Talamo

April 1, 1947 — June 19, 2024

Woodstock

Anna Talamo, 77, passed away at her home in Canton, Georgia on Wednesday, June 19th . She

was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud “Mam Mam” to her grandchildren.

Anna is survived by her children, Philip and Adele (Brian); grandchildren, Dylan, Tyler, and

Taylor; brother, Joe; and sister, Antoinette. She is preceded in death by her husband, Tony; her

parents, and her brother, Louie.

Anna was born on April 1, 1947, in Naples, Italy, to Leonardo and Adelina D’Amato. At the age

of 7, she traveled alone, by ship, from Italy to the United States. Years later, in New Jersey, she

met Tony, the love of her life. They married when Anna was 22 and shared 49 wonderful years

together before she lost him to cancer.

Known for her beautiful smile and huge heart, Anna was truly one of a kind. Her faith, family,

and friends were of utmost importance to her. She possessed an extraordinary gift for loving

people and demonstrating kindness, making everyone feel special. She had the most generous

spirit and always put others before herself.

Cooking and baking were two of Anna’s superpowers, and nobody did it better than her. She

loved to entertain, did it often, and was always the first to volunteer to cook for any special

occasion. She could prepare a feast for an army in no time at all. Anna exuded love, and food

was her love language.

Anna was the absolute best mother to Philip and Adele, blessing them with a lifetime of beautiful

memories. She showed her love daily, was always present, and instilled in them values that will

remain with them forever. Anna loved Brian as if he were her own, and her furry friends,

Bentley, Dory, Kizzy, and Rocky were here faithful companions and protectors until the very

end. Yet, nothing brought her more happiness than her grandchildren. Dylan, Tyler, and Taylor

were her pride and joy, and the love they shared was profound. Their bond is eternal and

unbreakable.

Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Anna was better for it. She will be missed terribly but

will live on in our hearts until we meet again.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 26th , from 5:00-7:00, with a Memorial Service at 6:30 at

Canton Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass will be held, Thursday, June 27th , at 10:30 at St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, Anna requested that donations be made to IDDeal Place Community, a

community home for adults with special needs.
