Arthur A. Lawrence

Mr. Arthur Antonio Lawrence, 83, of Canton, Georgia passed away on Monday September 25, 2023, following an extended illness.

The family will receive friends from 4:00pm-8:00pm on Friday October 6, 2023, at Canton Funeral Home at Macedonia Memorial Park.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 11:00am. 

Arthur was born June 25, 1940, in St. Mary, Jamaica to Gersham and Alice Abrahams Lawrence.

Arthur married the love of his life Zeppora on January 25, 1969, in Kingston, Jamaica.

 In 1982 the family migrated to the United States from Kingston, Jamaica to New York to eventually settle in Canton, Georgia. That is where he later retired and spent most of his time with family, grandkids and friends.

Arthur is preceded in death by his daughter Arlene Thompson; brother Alvin Fisher; and sister Joycelyn Toomer.

Arthur is survived by his wife Zeppora of Canton, Georgia; son Gregory Lawrence of Atlanta; son Clifton Cole of Woodstock; son Cleveland Cole of Johns Creek; son Louis Cole of Woodstock; daughter Jennifer Cole of Canton; daughter Lorna Chin of Florida; daughter Maxine Lawrence of Canton; Brothers Lloyd Leesang and Neville Leesang. Arthur is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren.
