Barbara L Kemp, 79, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 in Canton, Georgia.

Barbara was born in Newport News, Virginia, to Virginia Mayhew and Paul Kemp and graduated from Warwick High School. Barbara moved to Cedartown, Georgia, with her husband and children in the late 70’s and was a mail carrier for 29 years.

She spent all her spare time caring for her family and others. Several years after her retirement, she moved to Canton, Georgia, to be closer to her daughter. She was known as Granny Barbara to many more than just her biological grandchildren.

She is survived by her sister, Patricia Owsley, children, Jim Matsko and Kim Hampton Kennedy, three grandchildren, Michael and Chandler Hampton and Kaylee Matsko, and one great grandson, Lane Hampton.
