Bill Phillips, 84, of Gadsden, AL, passed away April 2, 2015 in Woodstock, GA.
Memorial service will be held on Sunday April 26, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Macedonia Memorial Park Funeral Home, 10655 E Cherokee Drive, Canton, GA 30115 Tel: 770-479-2788.
Bill started his life in Gadsden, AL and at an early age began caddying at Goodyear Golf Course. This began his love of golf. While he was never a professional golfer, he loved golfing all of his life. Bill moved his family to Marietta, GA in 1955 to work as a machinist/tool and die maker at Lockheed. He retired from there 40 years later and returned to his home town, Gadsden, AL. During his retirement he was an active member of the Attalla Masons. He also enjoyed wood working and gardening.
Bill is survived by his wife Elaine Phillips, and his four daughters; Sheila Travis, Vickie Wallace, Sally White, and Connie Bratcher; seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
