Billy Joe Pritchett

Billy Joe Pritchett, age 84, of Canton (Free Home), Georgia passed away at home on May 7, 2022.  He was a lifetime resident of Cherokee County.  Billy was an Army veteran, serving from 1961 - 1963, stationed at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. Upon his discharge, Billy worked 10 years at General Motors. He opened his own business, Pritchett TV Service, where he provided repair service to many residents in Cherokee County and the surrounding area.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ruby (Cox) Pritchett, and brothers Bob, Charles, and Herbert Pritchett.  He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lane (Cartwright) Pritchett; two daughters, Christa (James) O'Neal of Cumming, GA and Anna (Jeremiah) Holland of Canton, GA; two grandsons, Ethan and Will Lightfoot; brother, Jack (Linda) Pritchett and sister-in-law, Kathy Pritchett.

A gravesite service will be held at Canton Funeral Home and Cemetery at Macedonia Memorial Park on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 2 o'clock.
