Brandon Michael Koziar

Brandon Michael Koziar, 18, Derby High School Senior, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2022. Brandon was born November 4, 2004, to Erica Koziar and James Koziar. He is also survived by his sister, Elise Koziar; grandparents, Richard and Shari Escher, Craig and Joanne Koziar, Barry Bunn; great-grandmothers, Sharon Argento and Sylvia Bunn; and aunts, Alicia Escher, Briana and husband Jake Harris, Rachel and husband Eli Colburn, Kaitlyn Escher, April and husband Bruce Miller and Charissa Koziar and his girlfriend, Kaley Tyrell-Blake. Brandon was preceded in death by his great-grandfathers, Anthony Argento and Pink Bunn.

From Erica, his mother: My baby boy. Gone too soon. My heart is broken.

I am immensely saddened by the passing of my son, Brandon, from an automobile accident. Brandon was the sweetest most loving young man. He had the biggest heart and a unique soul that left us too soon. This loss is completely devastating, and our family mourns his passing greatly. As his mother, I knew how loving and compassionate he was to us in our lives but am honored at how many lives he touched. The outpouring of love brings me to my knees.

Brandon had a large group friends and family who loved him. Gaming was his passion. His online Overwatch family said, “He was like the little brother we never had, and we all are going to miss him and forever cherish all the wonderful memories and blessings he imprinted on our lives. You raised a truly amazing young man”. To his Overwatch family, my love goes out to all of you.

To Kaley, you were his first love and his last. I will hold that in my heart forever. There are so many firsts that he will never have but I will hold on to his every last.

Elise, his baby sister, oh how he loved you. Your tribute to him “My brother died last night. And I wish I could say we had a perfect relationship, or that we were like best friends. But nothing’s perfect. I just know that I loved him, and he loved me, we weren’t the best at telling each other but we both showed it in our own way. And that’s okay, cause we’re always gonna be brother and sister. I didn’t feel a reason to keep living recently, but I can’t give up now, I’ll show him how strong I am, so he doesn’t have to worry about our mom now that it’s up to me. He’s happy in heaven now, and I just know he’s having a blast up there.”

Everyone that knew Brandon knows those hugs. I will miss them every day. Brandon, I just wish I could tell you; I love you and have one more hug.

May our Lord Jesus Christ hold you in His arms until I can have that hug one more time. I love you my baby boy.

A private graveside service will be held Saturday December 17, 2022 at 1:00pm at Macedonia Memorial Park in Canton Ga.
