SPC Carter Lamar Alexander Couch of Chatsworth, GA passed away on Sunday, July 7th, 2024. 

During his time stationed in Alaska, SPC Couch made many friends, married his wife Mary Brooker and enjoyed his pets Happy, Luna and Blue. Carter enjoyed exploring Alaska with his wife and enjoyed many nights camping in the Alaskan wilderness. Carter maintained close relationships with his childhood friends back home through phone calls and gaming. 

SPC Couch served as a Fire Support Specialist in Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 2nd Battalion, 377th Parachute Field Artillery Regiment and was a valued member of the 1st Battalion, 501st Infantry Regiment Battalion Fire Support Team during his time with 2-377 PFAR.

SPC Couch's military education includes Basic Combat Training and the Basic Airborne Course.

SPC Couch's awards include the Army Commendation Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Army Service Ribbon. SPC Couch also earned his Airborne Wings.

Carter will be loved and missed dearly by his wife Mary Brooker and his pets Happy, Blue and Luna. Carter is survived by his parents Gina and Lynn Couch. His siblings Nicholas Couch, Maelyn Rees, Mollie Hammock and Christopher Couch as well as his sweet nieces Harper and Willow Couch. Carter is also survived by his grandmother Shirley Couch.
