Carter Lee Woodall, age 6,
passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, after a heroic fight against pediatric brain cancer.
Born July 13, 2017 to Bradley and Rebecca (Mikulis) Woodall, Carter was a true wild child from the start. Carter was the light and laughter in every room he entered. And he had a natural ability to make anything fun and never backed down from a challenge.
He had a passion for mischief & jokes (he had the BEST smile and twinkle of danger in his eyes), but he balanced that by having one of the biggest, sweetest, most generous hearts. He always put others first and would give you his last share of candy if you asked. Unless it was sour patch kids, then you better get your own.
Everyone that met Carter, was easily won over by his charm, quick whit, and sense of humor (insert fart joke here!). And his love of music and dancing had a way of brightening your day. Can we also mention and appreciate those amazing eyelashes and dimples he had?
Carter spent his free time drawing super heroes, racing drift cars, building (and destroying) his Lego armies, and crafting up adventures with his older brother Mason. All boy, he loved being dirty and carrying out crazy schemes with Mason.
Obsessed with Iron Man, Carter became a real life super hero through his battle with brain cancer. He faced this unimaginable journey with the strength, determination, grace, maturity, humor, and grit of all the super heroes combined. He truly taught all of us a lesson in pushing forward, dancing through the tough, laughing when we feel like crying, and loving hard.
Carter is survived by his parents Bradley and Rebecca Woodall; his older brother and partner-in-crime Mason Woodall; Grandparents: Andrew and Melinda Mikulis; Kirk and Patti Woodall; Aunts: Elizabeth Mikulis, Amanda Mikulis, Sarah Woodall, and Rachel Woodall; and countless extended family and friends, teachers, and a village of support caretakers.
A special, very heartfelt thank you to our Macedonia Elementary School family that always included and loved on our boy and family. He loved school and felt like the “mayor of Macedonia.” You all truly created an environment of love, inclusion, safety and normalcy for our family.
And thank you to our Aflac family. Your compassion and kindness made this journey a little less dark. Thank you for fighting for our Carter.
He will be missed beyond measure by everyone that knew him. So please, say his name often and remember him when a good song comes on, or you hear a silly joke, or visit the ocean. Take a page out of his book…belly laugh hard and often, dance like a crazy person, love love love hard, and find joy in the small moments. And repeat his life motto when you need extra encouragement, “I got this!”
Carter’s celebration of life will be held at the Canton Funeral Home at Macedonia Memorial Park on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at 1PM. Please wear your Team Carter shirts, something red (Carter’s favorite color), or any super hero shirt to celebrate the life of our Iron Man.
In lieu of flowers, please donate in his memory for the fight against pediatric brain cancer:
