Dannie Mulkey

March 17, 1950 — September 18, 2024

Woodstock

Dannie Mulkey aged 74 passed away peacefully in his home on September 18, 2024. He was a long-time resident of Woodstock, Georgia. Dannie was the beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and incredible life-long friend to every soul lucky enough to have crossed his path.

Dannie was born to Euel Carl Mulkey and Elsie Brown Mulkey on the lucky St. Patrick's Day of March 17, 1950, in Ranger, Georgia. Dannie was a twin to parents who didn’t even know they were coming home with TWO bouncing baby boys! Donnie (Cynthia Chaffin, 1950-2024) Mulkey was the first twin born and then there was Dannie. He was the loving little brother to Patricia (Vernon) Crowe and Tony Mulkey, who were undoubtedly surprised by their bonus sibling!

Dannie was drafted into the army as a teenager and served for two years, Rank SP4; MP. He was a strong man his whole life. Dannie was a master at karate, a man with a beautiful voice, and a master of all trades. He loved to fish and hunt and spend time in the beautiful outdoors. He could, and did do anything he put his mind to; and he blessed his family with that mindset as well.

When young, he sowed his wild oats and lived a beautiful life, an honorable man of strength and character. In 1976, he met the loves of his life: Nancy and her son, Brad Boaz. Then came Amanda (Brian) Kelly and Danielle (Chase) Scott; two daddy’s girls, through and through.

The most remarkable thing about this amazing man is the life he lived and fought to keep, his courage and bravery untold. Dannie loved and served his family so well and is a hero that deserves every accolade to his name. What a MAN he was, he will be sorely missed and loved forever.

Dannie is survived by wife Nancy, son Brad (Amy) Boaz, and daughters Amanda (Brian) Kelly, and Danielle (Chase) Scott. Grandchildren: Anna Boaz, Reagan Kelly, Brady Kelly, Addison Scott, Jackson Scott, Aaron Kelly, Samuel Kelly, and Sadie Scott. Nieces and nephews: Russel Crowe, Brandi (Alex) True, Jeff (Michelle) Mulkey

Dannie is preceded in death by parents Euel and Elsie Mulkey, sister-in-law Cynthia Chaffin Mulkey, and granddaughter Kinsley Kay Boaz, our precious little one gone too soon.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday September 28, 2024, at Canton Funeral Home at 1:00 pm preceded by visitation from 11:00 am- 1:00 pm also on September 28, 2024.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society at https://donate.cancer.org/?campaign=esophagealcancermedia&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaignid=17604508476&utm_adgroupid=154868973308&utm_keyword=esophageal%20cancer%20foundation&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD2heeeHJC0usQVDDijzEJk9FXotn&gclid=Cj0KCQjwo8S3BhDeARIsAFRmkOMyq31u6qIinzrr2caeZ77NALACHVRsiX19SbxVTb-GSe5CjuzQ90AaAh7gEALw_wcB
