Dianne Angela Doll, 88, of Marietta, Ga passed away peacefully at her home on October 5, 2024 surrounded by her family. Dianne is survived by her husband Edward N. Doll, Jr., her four children, Edward (Maria), Laura (Terry) Snyder, Michael (Amy) and Christopher (Rita); her eight grandchildren, Allyson, Marc, Angela, Clinton, Devon, Duncan, Adam, and Will, along with 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Corinne and Herbert Jaeb and her brothers Lorne, Charles, and Adrian and her sister Carolyn.

 

She was born on November 17, 1935 in Albertville, MN, one of seven children of Herbert and Corinne Jaeb. The Jaeb family lived in Minnesota until Dianne was a teenager and then relocated to FT Lauderdale FL. Her father later bought an orange grove in Lakeland, FL. He built and operated a grocery supermarket in Altomonte Springs, FL.

 

The family moved to Altamonte Springs, FL, Dianne remaining in FT Lauderdale. She took a job at a dental office where she met her husband, Edward. They were married on April 23, 1957. A year later they moved to Altamonte Springs, FL for a short time and then on to Jacksonville, FL in 1960. Ed started a new job and Dianne took a job in a dental office. Dianne was an accomplished matriarch raising their 4 children. Dianne was a devoted wife who kept the household and cared for the children. She and Ed were the center of all family vacations; spent camping with a wide circle of family and friends. In 1978, Ed’s job took them to St. Charles, MO. In 1988 they landed in Marietta, GA and have enjoyed life since where Dianne was able to relish her role as a grandmother.

 

A Southerner for 7 decades, Dianne still loved the snow and had fond memories of ice skating in Minnesota with her siblings. She was a true animal lover and delighted in caring for her pets. Dianne loved preparing and having large family gatherings. She was very talented and creative. Some of her favorite pastimes were sewing and flower arranging. She enjoyed ceramics; creating and painting bird houses and angels to give to family and friends. Dianne supported 

St. Vincent de Paul and MUST Ministries. Dianne was a devout Catholic who attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marietta, GA.

A Catholic Mass is planned for Friday October 18, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 87 Lacey Street NW, Marietta, GA. 30060

Interment will follow at Canton Funeral Home and Cemetery at Macedonia Memorial Park, 10655 East Cherokee Dr, Canton, GA 30115
