Dorothy Jane (Bozeman) Keever

Dorothy (Bozeman) Keever, age 75, passed away on October 15, 2022, at her home in Canton, Georgia after a four and a half month battle with cancer.  Dorothy was born September 19, 1947, in Jasper, Georgia. She was the daughter of her late parents, Tillman and Estelle (Hubbard) Bozeman.

Dorothy was happily married to her current husband, Dale Keever for 31 years.  She had one daughter, Sheri (Kell) Brauchler with her first husband, Hayden (Smitty) Kell.  Dorothy retired after 25 years as an office manager from First Marine Mortgage.  She was known for being loving, caring, generous, and hard-working.  She enjoyed cooking good meals for her family.  Dorothy also loved gardening and planting beautiful flowers.  In addition, she liked to take walks and watch shows with her husband, collect antiques, read books, meet her daughter for lunch, and spend time with her granddaughters.  Dorothy will be remembered for being strong, brave, and fighting until the very end. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Dale Keever; her daughter and son-in-law, Sheri (Kell) and Randy Brauchler; her granddaughters, Grace and Adison Brauchler; her sister, Bobbie (Bozeman) Brooks, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her sister, Louise (Bozeman) Beavers, and her brothers, Grady Bozeman, T.J. Bozeman, and Steve Bozeman.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday October 30, 2022 at 1p.m. Visitation will take place from 11:00am  until 1:00pm, all at Canton Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 10655 E Cherokee Dr.  Canton, Georgia 30115.
