Dorothy Kilpatrick McBrayer, cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend 92, passed away on March 23, 2021. Born in Cleveland, Georgia, and one of nine children, she was predeceased by her parents Bryant and Marie Kilpatrick and siblings, Dora Brumbelow, Freeman Kilpatrick, Bryant Kilpatrick Jr., Wofford Kilpatrick, Marie Deitert, Thomas Kilpatrick, Paul Kilpatrick, and Charles Kilpatrick.
She is survived by her son Patrick McBrayer (Beverly) and grandchildren Stephanie Puckett (Jason) and Greg McBrayer (Hannah) as well as three great grandchildren Cameron, James, and John Puckett. They will always love her a bushel and a peck.
A graduate of Commercial High School, Dot went on to raise a son who served his country in the United States Air Force. Prior to her retirement, Dorothy had 2 careers, one in administration at the Fulton Cotton Mill and another in personnel at Dekalb Medical.
Dot loved music, traveling, her family and friends—and a good toddy. Many of her happiest and proudest moments were times spent together with her son, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Family friend, Rev. David Scott, will officiate a small ceremony Monday at 11 o’clock at the base of Mount Yonah for close friends and family, but anyone is welcome. Call Stephanie for details 470.848.1336
