Erin Davis

July 2, 1969 — April 26, 2021

Erin Joyner Davis, loving wife and mother, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2021.  She is now resting joyfully with her Lord and Savior.  Her husband, Ray, wrote that “Heaven just got a little better.”

Left to mourn her loss are her husband, Ray, and their children Mallory and Ryan, Erin’s father and step-mother, Bob Joyner and Janis Kilgore, Sylvia Davis, Erin’s mother-in-law and her grandmother, Ruth McConnell, along with many other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Brenda Wilson.

Erin was born in Dallas, TX, on July 2, 1969, but was truly a Georgia girl.  She received her BBA Cum Laude from Georgia Southern University in 1991.  Once Erin set her mind to accomplish something, it could be considered done.  One of her goals was to be able to work at home so when she had children, she could be there for them.  As VP of Operations and Finance with Wiederhold & Associates, she was able to do that.  Erin was organization personified.  She kept her household and extended family in good order, planning special events and holiday celebrations well in advance. Friends and family were asked to put Mallory’s graduation date of May 28, 2021 on our calendars two years ago.

Erin was an active member at First Redeemer Church and was involved in her neighborhood serving on the Social Committee.  She also volunteered at The Place of Forsyth County and was active in various ministries and women’s Bible study groups in different communities over the years.

Visitation will be at the Canton Funeral Home, 10665 E. Cherokee Drive, Canton, 30115 from 4 to 8 pm on Thursday, April 29th.  Erin’s memorial service will be on Saturday, May 1st, at 1:00 pm at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 4096 E. Cherokee Drive, Canton, GA  30115.  Interment will follow the service at the Macedonia Memorial Park on the campus of the Canton Funeral Home.
