Eugene Hamby

Mr. Eugene L. Hamby age 86 of Canton, GA passed away Tuesday March 24th 2015 at his residence following an extended illness.

Funeral Services are will be held Friday March 27th 2015 in the chapel of Macedonia Memorial Park Funeral Home at 2 pm, with the Reverend Darrell G. Hamby officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Macedonia Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday March 26th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm.

Mr. Hamby was born April 14th 1928 in Licking Missouri to the late William Russell Hamby and Eddie Karnes Hamby.  Mr. Hamby served in the United States Army during the Korean War.  Mr. Hamby was happily married to his wife of 55 years to the late Mrs. George Ann Stephens Hamby.

Mr. Hamby moved to Canton, GA in 1983 where he has been a resident for 32 years.  He was employed by The Timken Roller Bearing Company in St. Louis, Missouri beginning in 1954.

Along with his wife and parents, Mr. Hamby is proceeded in death by his brothers James Hamby, Oach Hamby, Rudy Hamby, and sister Aleine Jefferies.

Mr. Hamby is survived by his son, Reverend Darrell G. Hamby and wife Tina Marie Hamby of Canton, GA. Daughter Sonja Munoz and husband Robert Munoz of Woodstock, GA. Daughter June Cagle and husband Chris Cagle of Canton, GA.  Sisters Fern Sutton and Ruby Douglas of Missouri.  Grandchildren Christy Munoz Porterfield, Darrell C. Hamby, Stephen Hamby, David Hamby, Brooke Cagle, Logan Cagle, Chandler Cagle and Kinsey Cagle.  Great Grandchildren Brandy Porterfield, Dylan Porterfield, Tayler Whited, Madison Hamby, Carson Hamby and one great-great grandchild MacKenzie Whited.
