Eugene Padgett

Eugene Talmadge Padgett, 82, of Woodstock passed from this life at his home on July 26, 2022. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great grandfather.

Eugene was preceded in death by his; parents, John (Homer) and Lillie Padgett; wife Mary Padgett; son Kenneth Padgett; as well as two (2) grandsons. He is survived by his son Jackie (wife April) Padgett; daughter, Deborah Baylin (husband Martin); six (6) grandchildren; seven (7) great grandchildren; and one (1) great- great grandchild.

Eugene loved the simple pleasures of life. Among which were hunting, fishing and the aroma of fresh cut wood from woodworking. But his greatest love was joy that came from spending time with his family.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at Canton Funeral Home and Cemetery at Macedonia Memorial Park on Saturday, July 30, 2022. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm in the chapel and officiated by Steve Satterfield, with interment to immediately follow at Macedonia Memorial Park.
