Franklin Marshall Waddle

Franklin Marshall Waddle, 82, of Canton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on November 10th, 2022, at his son’s home.

Mr. Waddle was born on December 8, 1939, in Meade County, Kentucky to Frank and Rosie (Marshall) Waddle.

He graduated in 1958 from Luce Township High School in Richland, Indiana. He then graduated from Evansville College in 1963 with an Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering. After graduation, he interned for the Department of the Navy in Crane, Indiana. He spent the rest of his career working for NASA and at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL while living in Decatur and Hartselle.

He enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, and being involved in church. He attended Fairview Baptist Church (Decatur, AL), Bethel Baptist Church (Hartselle, AL), and Crossroads of Life Baptist Church (Canton, GA).

He is survived by his children, James Waddle of Canton, GA; Wesley Waddle of Nashville, TN; and Marsha Talley of Berlin, Germany; and 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Arlene (Dawson) Waddle and son, John Waddle.

A graveside service is scheduled for Tuesday November 15, 2022 at 1:00pm.
