Canton

Philip Fredrick Ziegler, 62, of Canton, Georgia passed away suddenly on December 31st, 2024 surrounded by his family and ones who loved him most.

Rick was born on November 15th in Moultrie, Georgia to Philip and Dorothy Ziegler. He was happily married to Holly Blackmon Ziegler and they shared 41 wonderful years together. Rick was a loving and devoted father to his children, Ethan and Patience. Rick was also a devoted grandfather to Zadie Ziegler and was looking so forward to the birth of his future granddaughter, Molly Holloway.

Rick started his own business in 1982 and developed a successful glass installation company that has evolved over the years into a nationwide specialty construction products company. Rick was an avid golfer, loved to fish and loved nothing more than enjoying a good glass of wine while sitting on his porch. Rick never met a stranger and his endless stories kept everyone entertained. He was generous to a fault and if you needed anything you could always count on Rick to help.

Rick is survived by his wife, Holly, son, Ethan, daughter in-law, Kayla, daughter Patience, mother, Dorothy Ziegler, sister and brother-in-law Kathy and Brian Nicholson, granddaughter Zadie, along with several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at Woodstock City Church on January 9th at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Bald Ridge Boys Lodge, Cumming, Ga and The HOPE Center, Woodstock Ga.

Rick will be greatly missed by all who knew him, his legacy of love and kindness to others will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. We ask at this time to pray for his family’s healing as we mourn the loss of this great man.
