Gail Boylan Hughes

It is with great sadness that the family of Gail Boylan Hughes announces her passing at the age of 80 on Monday, October 14, 2024, in Woodstock, GA. Born on September 11, 1944, in New Orleans to John Griffen Boylan and Lucille Rodriguez Boylan, Gail graduated from Holy Angels and worked for NASA and the Superdome. An avid gardener, she cherished the time spent with her three grandchildren and five sisters.

 Gail was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Joseph (Joey) William Hughes Jr.; her sisters Lynn Johnston and Ann Lion. She is survived by her son, Joseph William Hughes III (Mieka Hughes); grandchildren Riley, Will, and Ellie Hughes; and sisters Susan St. Clair, Bonnie Boylan, and Carol Morales.

 A memorial service will be held in Chalmette, LA, in the summer of 2025, with the exact date to be determined, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
