JAMES CLYDE LEWIS
James Clyde Lewis 67, of Canton passed away Wednesday, July 19th 2017 at The Canton Nursing Center.
Born July 8th 1950 in Portsmouth Ohio he was the son of the late Clyde and Wanda Martin Lewis.
He was also preceded in death by his late wife, Mitzi Lewis, one brother, Chuck Martin, and one sister, Terry Lewis.
James is a veteran having served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals.
He was a mechanic at Williams Brother's Concrete in Atlanta, Ga for 20 years,
afterward he worked for Andy Anderson Trucking in Canton, Ga until 2005.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, attending car shows, drag racing, and fishing.
Survivors include his four sons; James Lewis of Acworth Ga, Bradley Lewis of Washington State,
Michael and David Lewis, both of Canton Ga, and one daughter, Annette Lewis of Portsmouth Ohio. One grandson, Grayson Lewis of Acworth, Ga.
Three brothers; Gary Lewis of Canton Ga, Jeff and Wesley Lewis both of Lucasville Ohio,
three sisters, Phyllis Ward and Tina Howe both of Portsmouth Ohio, Debbie Gilliam of South Shore Kentucky.
A celebration of James' life will be held Tuesday, July 25th at 4:00 p.m.
at the Canton Funeral Home at Macedonia Memorial Park.
