Jeffry Gene Jones, aged 70, passed away suddenly on November 16, 2024 in Canton Georgia. A devoted
son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather, Jeffry lived a life marked by faith, resilience, selflessness,
and dedication to those he held dear.
Born in Topeka, Kansas in 1954, Jeffry pursued academic excellence, obtaining bachelors’ degrees in
Applied Mathematics and Nuclear Engineering from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in
Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
Jeffry learned about the Baha’i Faith at the age of 19 while studying at the University of Virginia. He
found that its main tenet, universal peace, resonated with his spiritual and social ideals. He soon
embraced the Baha’i Faith and became very active in promoting its teachings for the betterment of his
society. Jeffry served as an active member and a trusted treasurer in the Spiritual Assembly of the
Baha’is of Loudoun County, Virginia. He and his family visited the Baha’i shrines in the Holy Land which
was an experience he cherished throughout his life. He expressed his love and respect for his Faith and
the role it has played in promoting unity in societies worldwide.
Jeffry had a long and distinguished career as a technology leader, professional, and executive, working
for many of the world’s most recognizable IT organizations. Known for his passion for excellence,
technical expertise, and innovative problem solving, Jeffry was a trusted leader who earned the
immense respect and admiration of those he served. His mentorship and guidance profoundly shaped
the careers of many professionals and organizations with whom he worked. Jeffry’s legacy will endure
in the lives he enriched and the genuine connections he built throughout his journey.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Anne Marie, with whom he shared 40 years of marriage; his son,
Justin; his step daughter Cheryl Lynn; his sister, Marian June; his cherished grandchildren, Reagan, Ryan,
and Victoria; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Bonnie
June, who he held close in his heart every day.
Jeffry’s legacy is one of unwavering love for his family, a strong work ethic, faith in God, and a kind,
generous spirit that touched all who knew him. He will be remembered for his selfless devotion to his
family and for taking special care of his grandchildren, which brought him immense joy and fulfillment.
Those who knew Jeffry will remember him as a pillar of strength and generosity, whose legacy will live
on through the lives of his family and all who knew him.
A funeral service to lay Jeffry to rest will be held on November 20th 2024 at 1:00 pm at Macedonia
Memorial Park, 10655 E Cherokee Dr, Canton GA 30115. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer a
donation towards his grandchildren’s college fund.
