CLACK, John Edward, Age 77, Ball Ground, GA passed away Wednesday, September 9th, 2020. He went to Seabreeze High School in 1960 and enter into service of the United States Army Airborne stationed in Ft. Benning, GA as well Ft. Bragg, NC. Upon being honorably discharged he had a wide variety of careers. He was a city Police Officer for Daytona Beach, FL and a Deputy Sheriff for Volusia County, FL. John and his wife Judy owned a wide variety of businesses to include a printing company, travel agency, restaurant and candle store prior to retiring. He was definitely the social butterfly and everybody loved him especially his neighbors, friends and family. John was very talented and active throughout his life with a great range of hobbies to include wood working, water skiing, snowmobiling, playing & coaching softball, tennis, racket ball and golf. He was a great mentor to everyone in his life including his daughters and grandchildren. He had a great love of travel throughout his life especially with his best friend, Judy. Preceded in death by his parents Robie and Era Clack, 2 brothers, Russel and Bill Clack and son John Lutzier. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 53 years, Judy Clack; 2 daughters; Kelly (Tony) Anderson and Cynthia (Mike) Sweeney; 4 grandchildren; Sarah Dixon, Cody Anderson, Grace Anderson and Sophie Anderson; 1 brother, Ken (Pat) Clack; Along with his dog, Dixie. Funeral services will be on Monday, September 14, 2020 at 2:00pm, Canton Funeral Home, 10655 E Cherokee Drive. The family will receive friends from noon until 2:00pm prior to the funeral. A private Military burial will be at Georgia National Cemetery due to COVID regulations.
