Mr. John Anthony Nayman Jr. 73, of Canton, GA passed away Wednesday June 29, 2016 following a brief illness.
Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, July 2, 2016 from 1-4pm at Canton Funeral Home and Cemetery at Macedonia Memorial Park. A private visitation for players and former players will be held from 4-5 on Saturday following the general visitation.
Mr. Nayman was born June 10, 1943 in Albion, New York to the late John Nayman, Sr. and Anna Wiczorek Nayman. Mr. Nayman was a standout fastpitch softball player for the Eastman Kodak company championship teams in Rochester, New York where he was also employed. He was a long-time umpire in the Rochester Baseball and Softball Association along with being a 2016 inductee into the Rochester Softball Hall of Fame. One of John’s biggest accomplishments in life was helping his son coach the Creekview High School Baseball Team for 11 years, while building lasting friendships with his players and former players.
Along with his parents, John is preceded in death by his brother Leonard Nayman, who passed away in 1999.
Mr. Nayman is survived by his son, Michael and daughter-in-law, Kendra of Woodstock, GA. Granddaughter Parker and grandson Paxton.
