She attended First United Methodist Church of Marietta for many years where she found her special group of friends and prayer warriors that meant so much to her. She was also a member of a faithful bible study group that met weekly, with friends that poured prayer and praise into her life. Being with others that studied the Word was of upmost importance to her.
She loved spending time with her family and cherished the “extra time” she was given by the Grace of God after being diagnosed with cancer over 18 months ago. She kept her faith throughout her journey and always proclaimed how thankful she was to have more time with those she loved so dearly.

Linda was born on June 15, 1949, grew up in Columbia, SC and attended Eau Claire High School. She was a member of the 1967 graduating class and was so thankful to have reconnected with so many high school friends from many years ago. She received an Associate degree from The University of South Carolina in 1969, a Bachelor of Arts degree from Notre Dame College of Maryland in 1976 and went on to Georgia State University where she earned her Masters degree in Education in 1986.
A lover of learning, she enjoyed history of all kind, visiting museums, reading and traveling. She and Bruce went on many amazing trips visiting Paris, Okinawa, Bahamas, Scotland, Hawaii, San Fransisco and many more fun destinations where they experienced exciting adventures together. She also loved spending her Thanksgiving holidays in Hilton Head, SC with her children and grandchildren each year. This was a favorite time for all and will be remembered as her “happy place” by her family.
Her yard became her sanctuary where she loved to sit and watch the birds and enjoy the beautiful flowers all around her. Linda lived her life full of faith, love and grace. She was known to be a light to others. The love and kindness she shared will always be a testimony of her life, loving and serving her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
