Melanie Elizabeth McLellan of Canton.Ga. was born on 12-18-1975. She passed away on 11-29-2024. She was born to Kenneth McLellan and Janet Waldrop in Decatur, Georgia. She was born just 11 minutes before her twin, Melodie McLellan.
She is survived by her two sons, Austin Weaver (Heather Weaver), Brandon Weaver and her parents Kenneth McLellan(dad)Jan Waldrop (Mom) Eddie Waldrop (bonus Dad). She’s the oldest of 4 girls. Melodie McLellan (Anne McLellan) her twin sister, Shelley Lawson (Jeff Lawson), Kristen Rosales (Steven Rosales) her grandchild, Westin Weaver, her partner: Allison Ashworth; Nieces and Nephews: Tristan Padgett(Danielle Walker), Erin Lawson, Morgan Rosales, Jackson Lawson, Breydan Rosales and Brody McLellan. Also, surviving include two Aunts, Beth Caraker (Mark), Ellaree Hopkins and one Uncle and several cousins.
Her death was sudden and unexpected She was surrounded by her family when she passed away. Her and her dog, Jax, were inseparable. He was her emotional support that she needed when going through her medical treatments for her chronic illness. He needed her just as much as she needed him.
Melanie's biggest love in life was her two boys and family, the Georgia bulldogs & Dr. Pepper. More than anything, she loved being a mom. She was so proud of Austin and Brandon and the young, responsible men they have become. Her favorite thing to do would be to spend time with Allison, the boys, Heather and Westin watching a Georgia game. Seven years ago, little Westin's birth marked the start of an incredible adventure for his Nene, filled with pride, love, and a bond that would forever change their lives.
With a heart full of kindness, she was met with warmth and humor, brightening each day with her infectious spirit. Her generosity inspired others to do the same, always putting others first. Driven by her love for her children, she pursued a meaningful career as a Medical Assistant at DV Pediatrics, making a difference in countless lives.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, from 4-8 pm at Canton Funeral Home, 10655 E. Cherokee Drive, Canton, Ga. A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in the Chapel of Canton Funeral Home at 11:00 am. The family is requesting that those in attendance for visitation and service wear Georgia Bulldog attire or something red and black.
