Regina Soares

Regina (Teotonio) Soares 80, of Canton, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Arruda) Teotonio.

Surviving includes her husband, Jose Soares of 58 years; one son, Jose T. Soares and his wife Zita; one daughter, Sandra Kwiecien and her husband Christopher; eight grandchildren, Catherine, Nicholas, Sarah, Izak, Kryzstof, Noah, Kassandra, and Maksymilian. Also surviving include her sister-in-law Lourdes Teotonio as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Regina was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Bedford, Massachusetts where she was a member of the Charismatic Prayer Group, Teams of Our Lady and a Eucharistic Minister. She enjoyed singing in the Church Choir.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Woodstock, Ga. Interment will follow at Macedonia Memorial Park, Canton, Ga.
