Richard Estes

Richard Estes, age 73, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018.

Richard was born in Canton to the late Jake Estes and Bernice Whitmore Estes.  He was a Mason and he was employed by Georgia Marble.  He loved to watch John Wayne, listen to George Jones, and above all- he loved to make people laugh.  In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his wife, B.J. Estes; and his sister, Linda Cowart.

He is survived by his children, Jamie Estes (Sheena Buttrum) of Talking Rock, and Kristy Estes (Shakeeta Brooks) of Canton; grandchildren, Keidran Cortes, Jeremiah Estes, and Levi Estes; and brother, Lewis Estes.

Funeral services will be 12 noon Thursday, March 1, 2018 in the Chapel of Canton Funeral Home and Cemetery at Macedonia Memorial Park.  Richard’s childhood friend, Reverend Marvin Ellis will officiate.  Interment will follow in Macedonia Memorial Park Cemetery.

Prior to the service, the family will receive friends from 9:00 A.M. until 12 noon at the funeral home.
