Sharon Kay Paulus, 73 of Acworth, GA passed away Sunday, February 7, 2021 at her residence.
Sharon Kay Paulus (Sherry) was born on September 26, 1947 in Fostoria, Ohio to Carl and Eileen Russell. She graduated high school in Oak Harbor, OH and went on to marry Lester James Paulus. Together they had 3 daughters, Sherileen, Angileen, and Jodileen.
Sherry went to Lander University and received a degree in Criminal Justice, which she used to become a Police Officer in Greenwood, SC. When she retired after many years of service to spend more time with her family, she still loved to listen to her police scanner.
Her other love was the beach. She loved to go there with her family each year. She was always happiest walking along the shore, listening to the waves, or collecting seashells. Her passion for the beach also led to a lifetime love of lighthouses which she collected and displayed all over her house.
Sherry also loved watching the birds outside her window at her bird feeders, especially the hummingbirds that came to visit. Her absolute favorite pastime however was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved watching them at their sporting events. She was always their biggest fan!
Sherry was preceded in death by her husband, Lester James Paulus; daughter, Sheri (Robert) Adams; and parents, Carl and Eileen Russell. She is survived by her children, Jodi (Tim) Stultz, Angi (Brian) Reeves; grandchildren, Isabel Adams, Samuel Adams, Mackenzie Stultz, Chance Reeves, Sean Stultz, Dia Reeves, Liam Stultz; brother, Carl Russell Jr.; sisters, Betty Grindstaff, Kathy Russell.
