Stephen Smith

Stephen Christopher Smith, 17 of Canton, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018. Stephen, a Senior at Creekview High School was an excellent student receiving many honors and awards including National Honor Society and Good Citizenship.  He was an avid gamer, he loved cars, music and the colors red and black. He also aspired to become an engineer.  Stephen was an excellent Long and Triple jumper and belonged to the Creekview Youth Track and Field team, Major Impact Track and Field and was a member of the Creekview High School Track and Field team.

Stephen is pre-deceased by his grandmother Natalie Cole and is survived by his parents Stephen and Barbara Meeks Smith and sisters Stephanie, Kayla and Natalie Smith. Grandmother Mildred Smith, Aunts Bonita and Wandalyn Smith, Uncles Paul Meeks, Darrell and Greg Summers, and Tischen Franklin.  Cousins of Stephen are Dashaun Singleton, Ebony and Justin Isaac, Malik and Zyndell Meeks and numerous other cousins. His best friend was Chase Burr.

The Zumba community will be holding a candle light vigil to honor Stephen on Saturday, December 1st at 8 pm at RC Fitness Studio located at 2050 Lawrenceville Hwy.  Decatur, Ga 30033.

Visitation for Stephen will be held on Monday, December 3rd from 2 pm until 8 pm at Canton Funeral Home located at 10655 E. Cherokee Dr.  Canton, Ga 30115.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 4th at 11 am at Revolution Church located at 125 Union Hill Trail  Canton, Ga 30115.  Interment will follow at Macedonia Memorial Park cemetery immediately following the service.
