Thomas Mowatt

Thomas R. Mowatt, 86, of Canton, GA, passed away of cancer on May 26th in Marietta, GA.

Visitation will be June 3rd from 1pm-3pm followed by a short service at Canton Funeral Home and Cemetery 10655 E Cherokee Dr Canton, GA 30115. Burial will be at 10am on Thursday June 4th at Georgia National Cemetery but is closed to the public. Arrangements are by Canton Funeral Home and Cemetery.

Thomas was born in Marlboro, MA to James M. Mowatt and Lerene M. Mowatt on January 11, 1934. He married Flora A. Kramer on June 27, 1964. He worked as an appraiser for New York State for many years. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars and served 20 years in the USAF. He was a past member of the Freemasons in East Peru, ME.

Thomas is preceded in death by his parents James M. Mowatt and Lerene M. Mowatt, wife Flora A. Mowatt, and his sister Mae(Peggy) M. Kincaid.

Thomas is survived by his daughters Theresa A. Garcia and Son-In-Law, Adrian Garcia; Christina L. Kassebaum Son-In-law, Jude Kessebaum; his son Michael T. Mowatt and Daughter-In-Law, Tracy Mowatt; brother James(Bud) M. Mowatt Jr.; his grandchildren Brett Kabot, Brandon Benedict, and Kylee Ferguson.
