Vivian Munoz

Vivian Elizabeth Munoz was born on March 24, 1966 to her parents Luis Rivera and Ruth Harpole. She was the second eldest of 9 children (Ruthy, Luis, Gerard, Patricia, Noel, Kimberly, Brandon and Matthew). She was married to her then husband Julio Munoz and together they had 4 children. Roberto Angel, Eduardo Andres, Ricardo Vinicio and Armando Mario Munoz.

She was a devout mother. Her pride and joy were her 4 sons (R.A.R.E.). She was very active in their lives before she became disabled and had actively participated in all of her boys’ education and extracurricular activities. Karate, choir, modeling, dance, football, basketball, baseball, soccer, swim team and camps along with all church activities.

She loved art. Loved to draw horses and portraits. She was also very handy and loved fixing things. She was very smart and enjoyed helping her boys with their schoolwork and projects. She loved health and fitness as well. She was beautiful. She loved cooking and holidays were feasts with her. She loved giving. Holidays and birthdays were joyous times for her to be able to give gifts and make those she loved happy.

She received a second round of joy with her grandbabies. Ricardo wed Nataly and together they have 3 children. She became Lita (Abuelita) to Riley Katalin, Emilio Krisztian and Avery Karolina. Roberto also married Desiree and she became step Grandma to their 4 kids; Nathaniel, Mileena, Emmilee and Emmah. They called her Ms. Vivian and she was known to them as "the one who gave the best gifts." To the point of over giving. She had a whole room filled with gifts, literally, ready to give. Her house was like a kids’ day care; Riley and Emilio always had fun at Lita's. Hello Kitty was her go to. Like most grandparents being Lita was the best to her and gave her a whole new generation of kids to spoil.

Before her passing she stayed with her youngest son Armando who was her caretaker and most importantly her friend. Together they watched movies, ordered food, complained to each other about their days and argued. He was her partner and her baby. She mothered him until the end and always found the energy to cook him his meals. She last visited her three older sons and grandchildren for Thanksgiving in 2020. She always said, Roberto got from her his love of Art and Religious studies. Eduardo got her joy of cooking and organizing. He would listen to the WOW praise and worship music she loved. Ricardo got her big heart and caring for others and Armando got her joy of fitness.

Lastly and most importantly - she also loved The Lord. Faith to her was so important and vital. It got her through many tough times. She was raised Catholic, turned Seventh Day Adventist and ended up being Non-Denominational Christian. Jesus was enough to her and always remained her focal point. She never wavered or lost faith through all her pain and sicknesses. This past year she made it a point to rekindle her joy in The Lord and get back to her first love. She loved bible memory verses. She will forever be an example to her boys of a God-fearing Christian mother. She would want us to take comfort in the fact that Jesus is Christ and because of His sacrifice we have the eternal hope of being in God's presence with Him and also with her. It all starts with the confession that Jesus is the Anointed One of God and salvation comes from faith and belief in His life, sacrifice, death, burial and resurrection. For to be absent from the body is to be present with Christ. She passed away on January 25, 2021. She is loved and will be eternally missed. WE LOVE YOU MOMMY AND LITA!

Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2021 from Canton Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Macedonia Memorial Park.

The family is accepting flowers or donations may be made to assist with funeral expenses.
