Wilba Nelson

Wilba Jean Nelson, 74, of Woodstock passed away Friday, October 26, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  She retired from the Kroger Company as a cake decorator, she was also a member of the Eagle’s Club in Chattanooga, TN.  Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her husband, A.L. “Tony” Nelson, her parents Wilburn Rudolph and Cora Lee Land Ewton, a brother-in-law Jackie Holland and a nephew Greg Holland.

Surviving family members are: a son Tim Nelson, and daughter Lisa (Tim) Hix, one brother J.W. (Inez) Ewton, and one sister Loretta Holland.  She also had four grandchildren, Cody (Christina) Hix, Jessica (Brock) Turner, Corey Hix and Baylee Nelson, two great grandchildren, Camden and Ryleigh Cox, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends Monday, October 29, 2018 from 1:30pm until 3:30pm in the chapel of Canton Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 3:30pm with the Rev. Lanny Tate of The Way of the Cross Baptist Church in Dunlap, TN officiating.  A graveside will follow in the cemetery at Macedonia Memorial Park.
