Luckily, it’s not every day that you get invited to funeral homes in Ball Ground, GA for final services. When you do lose someone you knew, it might have been awhile since you have been to such a service and you might not know what you should wear. Since cremation services are so prevalent today, and since those memorial services are often so different, clothing for funeral services can go to the wayside. Traditional funerals are similar to how they used to be. Here are some things to consider for both men and women.
Black is no longer the only color you can wear to a funeral. It is always okay to wear black, but other colors are now options as well. You are going to want to steer clear of bright colors or patterns, but you can wear other muted tones and keep things conservative. If you would wear it to church or to a business meeting, it’s likely around the right style level.
Long sleeved, or even short sleeved dresses are good options for funerals. You might want to steer clear of sleeveless, or wear a sweater to cover your shoulder. You won’t want a dress with too much color or patterning to it, but something darker in color with muted tones can work well. You are going to want to consider your footwear, too. You don’t want anything that is too uncomfortable since you might be standing a lot and could be traipsing through the grass and dirt in the cemetery.
You could also choose a dark skirt with a nice shirt for the event. Make sure the skirt is knee length or longer and choose a shirt that goes nicely with it and isn’t too low cut. You can mix and match these outfits easier if you have more than one such occasion to attend.
Business suits are another go-to item that you could wear, as long as they are on the dark side. These might feel more comfortable to suit your style, and they will fit in well with what’s going on at the funeral.
Men will also want to go with something dark and conservative, though again, black is not the only color option today.
A nice button down shirt with a decent pair of pants are a nice fit for men at funerals. Black or navy blue pants are ideal and there are a variety of shirt colors that can go with that, as long as they aren’t too bright and bold.
Men can always wear suits to funerals, though it’s not expected. The most commonly found men in suits are the pallbearers.
Another option is a nice sweater along with nice pants. That can be another suitable thing for a man to wear to services at Funeral homes in Ball Ground, MA.
